In the everchanging tides of life, water in all its forms has risen to remind me how important it is to allow life. To surrender into free flow.
Three weeks ago, I stepped on a boat that took me from Barcelona to Civitavecchia. There was a sense of calm, blissful detachment, and soft peace onboard. The ocean felt vast, like an endless pool of opportunities. We were rocked by the waves, soaked by heavy rain and once in Italy, water remained with me. Was one with me all the way to the west coast of Italy, and remains with me even here today.
Standing on the hills in Marche I watched clouds float in the valley beneath me, rain come down so heavily it was as if I was still at sea, never stepped off the boat, constantly surrounded by water both above and below. The water remained, it remained even in the fiery terrain of Italy.
Water became a ruling element, a wave of reminders and life lessons.
Three weeks later, here I am, sitting by the sea in Finland, not at all where I thought I would be. Not doing what I had planned. After weeks of storms, both internal and external, the waves brought me to the shores I was born in. Here and now there is a momentary pause, a calm, and I can hear the sea whisper;
For too long life has been standing still. Humans have tried to mould life, to fit it into a neat box, but water has risen to remind you of how movement and free flow are the keys to existence.
It is necessary to surrender, allow, to let the river embrace you with its constant movement.
All water on this planet is connected. The oceans and the rivers, the pools and the lakes, clouds and raindrops, all beat with the same rhythm, all connect in a vast network of water that runs deep within Earth nourishing life in its multitude of forms.
Nourishing you while being one with you. Look into water and you will see yourself. Look into water and you will witness the universe in a single drop.
Water is life-giving, an ever-moving, world-shaping force that remembers the rise and fall of the earth. Water is the necessary movement to keep balance, to cleanse and to heal all.
Feel the rivers within. Feel the rivers without. Allow the free flow, embrace the movement, surrender to life, and remember that all is. Every single moment all is.
Step into the river, rejoice in the flow and let go of all rest;
Live by water
flow freely,
surrender to life,
carve new paths,
let go of all
and you will find
the treasures within.
In these changing times, in the tumults of life, water comes as an aid, an ancient force reminding us of how important it is to leave room for the unimaginable. To leave room for life and to tend to life, wherever and however it springs up.
Our oceans carry endless life and ancient wisdom, and we carry the oceans within. Know that even though you walk on land, a part of you is water – allow the depths that are resurfacing and trust that the tides will carry you home.
With love,
Ida.
