I don’t think we can limit ourselves to conscious travel – if we are travelling consciously, we are also living consciously. But, what is it to live consciously?
Being conscious is being so present that you can feel the earth beneath your feet, the air tickling your skin.
It is hearing the world within and without, smelling the scent of dawn, the sun lingering on stone on a summer evening, water gathering in the clouds.
It is seeing the different hues of green. Noticing the sky alive with colour.
It is becoming one with the world, feeling the ebb and flow of energy, the millions of people, places, plants, beings alive – alive in you, with you.
It is standing still in movement, walking eyes wide open, curiously travelling through life. Journeying deep within so that you can embark on a grander voyage to the world.
It is realizing all is here, now, in this breath. That the worlds you visit live within you.
It is letting go, giving in, allowing life to unfold.
It is dancing on foreign shores, embracing children, witnessing things you have never known of, just to remember that it is all in you – has been a part of you, always.
It is being alive with every fibre of your being, becoming you by becoming one with your surroundings.
It is being present, in tune, following the waves of the world, marvelling at life’s wonders.
It is feeling, sensing, experiencing fully - being aware of how brightly you shine with the world, merge with it, move with it.
Following an inner knowing.
It is being. Being here. Here so wholly that you feel that you are bursting, coming apart at the seams from all the life you carry within.
The life you are. The life you are connected to.
It is knowing you can move mountains, raise the sea, grow life because you are the mountains, the sea, life itself.
It is moving as one with the world, dancing to the rhythm of the earth as an abundant life force wide awake in each moment.
Knowing that the infinite lives in a drop of the ocean, in the leaves dancing in the wind, the grain of sand beneath your feet.
In you.
Being conscious is being present. Being alive. Being one with the world in each new moment.
