The summer days are soft and full,
blossoming and blooming,
filled with endless sunshine,
eternal moments of wonder.
The days merge into one big adventure of
books and movies,
secret worlds in pillow forts,
poetry and tunes of long-forgotten melodies,
the soft sigh of the sunrise,
skinny dips in moonlight,
laughter, tears, grief and joy tumbling into one,
new paths, step after step on steep hills,
sunscreen, cold showers, sand in my toes,
the taste of salt lingering on my lips,
tiny rivers of ocean carving their way on my skin,
a hidden cove, strawberries and ice cream, pyjamas all day,
paint and charcoal, pages filled with shapes and colours,
new words and forgotten stories,
playgrounds and swings that carry you to the clouds,
blue skies, cool breezes and cotton candy dragons in the setting sun.
Blissfully tired, sun-soaked and falling asleep with a smile in my body, waking up with excitement in my heart. Feeling summer in my soul, paradise in my bones. A timeless time to be alive.
