I dance with the tides
I am sitting on a still damp beach, watching the waves crash into a cocoon formed by green hills.
There is a gentle quiet this sunny morning,
a relief and joy that came with last night’s thunderstorm.
The hills glow an emerald light,
I smile with nature while I watch the blue sky being covered in dark clouds.
A morning turning into a dark afternoon. The air smelling of rain. Clouds hanging low. The earth opening up.
Opening up for the
plump raindrops falling from the skies,
touching my skin with a loving softness,
sinking into the earth,
nourishing the world,
joining a tide that runs wildly beneath my feet.
With one breath and water running down my forehead, I remember how everything is connected,
everything is one,
here and now,
a piece of eternity.
We are walking into a time of drought and I celebrate every drop of water.
I dance with the tides,
feel the water move beneath my feet,
the whole world alive in this one moment,
this one drop of water that joins an ocean of life.
An ocean of life we are all a part of.
An ocean I have been so mesmerised by I have forgotten to write. Sending you my love. Will write soon again.
Ida.
